2019 Night for Kyrene

Over 250 Kyrene community members came together for a night of fundraising and fun….

…at the 2019 Night for Kyrene. Hosted at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa, Mathew Blades from MIX 96.9 inspired community partners, business leaders, Kyrene parents, teachers, administrators and friends to support the Kyrene Foundation’s giving initiatives. Mathew shared stories of families in the Kyrene community who have been impacted by the Kyrene Foundation – those who have received athletic scholarships, received support from the Kyrene Family Resource Center, and those who have been provided a full Thanksgiving meal at the annual turkey give away. He also brought to stage teachers and a student who have benefited from teacher mini-grants. Everyone in the room felt the direct impact that the night was having on the ability for the Kyrene Foundation to support families, students, teachers, and schools in the Kyrene School District.

To conclude the evening, the silent auction, with a range of fantastic items, exceeded its goal, as did the wine pull. The room was electrified during the live ask, also exceeding its goal. Event attendees dined on a delicious Italian feast and rocked out to School of Rock’s Sugar Skulls, who were an exciting hit.

The event’s success was due in a large part to the tremendous sponsors who allowed this event to flourish.
