The Kyrene Foundation,a 501(3)(c) organization,works collaboratively with corporations, small businesses, non-profit organizations, community members, and the Kyrene School District to fund yearly initiatives.
Those initiatives include: the Kyrene Resource Center (which provides food, clothing, hygiene items, school supplies and backpacks, etc.), as well as education grants for student scholarships for enrichment, extracurricular programs, athletics and teacher and principal mini-grants. Other programs that support families in need include a Thanksgiving turkey dinner and a Winter Wonderland shopping experience.
Thanksgiving Dinners
The Kyrene Foundation assists families in need by providing a turkey and all the trimmings. 250 Families
received meals last year. Winter Wonderland
Families in need were invited to shop for new Christmas items. Gifts were wrapped by volunteers and refreshments and entertainment was provided. 900 Children

Mini-grants

in grants were awarded to teachers seeking funding (up to $500 per teacher) to provide enhanced learning opportunities for students.Principal

awarded to a principal seeking funding to support a school enrichment initiative.Athletic Scholarships

in scholarships was donated to the Kyrene School District to support students who are unable to participate in school sports.Community Education

The Foundation funds youth enrichment activities such as tutoring, after-school classes, and intramurals.
