2018 Winter Wonderland Recap

This past weekend, the Kyrene Foundation hosted a Winter Wonderland gift event for Kyrene families in need. Families were able to "shop" for two new Christmas gifts and a pair of PJ’s for each child in their home, receive a Bashas gift card for holiday food and have all presents wrapped while they waited.  Thanks to the generosity of our community we also raffled off 18 bicycles and 70 turkeys. At last count our community responded by providing for 232 families with a total of 593 children.

Sincere thanks go out to the many community partners, student groups, local businesses and school organizations that support this event through donating gifts or funding.  Hundreds of volunteers gather donations, prepare by organizing presents in age and type categories, serve as personal shoppers with parents, and wrap the chosen gifts. If you participated in, or donated to Kyrene Foundation this past year, THANK YOU. You help make events like this and our November Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway possible.
