The November 13 Ahwatukee Foothills CROP Hunger Walk raised $11,000. Of that total, the Kyrene Foundation will receive a check from Church World Services (CWS) for approximately $2,700. The Kyrene Foundation will make the money available to the Kyrene Family Resource Center (KFRC) to fight hunger by purchasing food (when needed) to help stock their food shelves. Thank you to Esperanza Luthern church of Ahwatukee for leading this Hunger Walk.
Thank you to Kyrene Board members, Rick Richardson, Debbie Hoover and Isaiah Slemens for volunteering their time at the Walk last Sunday. Thank you to Irma Horton of the Kyrene Family Resource Center (KFRC) for attending and sharing remarks on how the KFRC supports families in need in our community.
