The Kyrene Foundation is excited to host our 8th annual Taste of Kyrene Auction and Reception on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Arizona Grand Resort. This signature event raises funds to benefit Kyrene schools and families in the Kyrene communities.
More than 250 people attended the event last year, including parents, teachers, administration, community members, leaders, and local business partners. This year, we’re changing things up a little at new location. The night includes entertainment, a silent auction and a light dinner buffet with an appetizer and dessert station provided by Arizona Grand catering. Also new this year is a Fund-a-Need* feature during our presentation. The night will culminate with the announcement of the Opportunity Drawing Grand Prize winner, who will receive a family adventure package for four to Anaheim or San Diego courtesy of Get Away Today!
We encourage everyone to attend our event. Our theme this year is “Education Matters!”. We are highlighting the importance of a full and rich educational experience. Parents, teachers, community, and leaders all have an impact on making children matter. Investing in a child’s education and school experience gives each student the tools necessary to be successful in reaching their potential.
Gather your friends, family and colleagues together and plan for an enjoyable night of socializing and community building while fundraising for a good cause. Donating locally strengthens our community and ensures that all of our children succeed and meet their potential. Be a good apple and support the Kyrene Foundation!
Single: $65 ($75 at door)
Table for 10 + 10 Drink Tickets: $850
*This is a special appeal that is made to our guests during the presentation portion of the evening. It is similar to a live auction where guests have the opportunity to “bid” or make a donation at one of the pre-selected levels of giving* ($500, $250, and $100). While many guests may bid on items in the silent auction, not everyone wins. The Fund-a-Need allows every attendee to directly contribute to the Kyrene Foundation at different levels, and participate in the fundraising efforts. The donations are also 100% tax-deductible.
The Kyrene Foundation’s annual Opportunity Drawing is in its last month. Don’t miss out on your chance to win a 4-day/3-night deluxe hotel stay in either Anaheim or San Diego with single day tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids to Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood OR Sea World San Diego and LEGOLAND California, respectively, courtesy of Get Away Today.
Value: $1000 (Airfare not included)
Opportunity Drawing tickets are available for sale here on our website and at all our schools. For each $10 donation made in buying a ticket, $5.00 of each ticket goes directly to a Kyrene school of your choice; the other $5.00 supports the nonprofit Kyrene Foundation’s Mission to serve and provide resources for children and their families in the Kyrene community.
Tickets are eligible for additional prizes.
Tickets will only be sold at schools until Feb 26th, so be sure to buy your ticket(s) soon!
Prizes will be awarded to the 2 top-selling Kyrene Schools and the top 3 individuals/groups that sell the most tickets!
The top three individuals or groups who sell the most tickets overall will also receive prizes in the form of $100, $75, and $50 gift cards. The two top-selling Kyrene Schools will win a prize for their school.

As a bonus, Kevin also leaves behind original sketches the kids can use for reference when they do their own doodles. A selection of Kevin Sylvester’s books will also be donated to your school’s library.
